2nd gen tranny

if i put a second gen trans in my truck what would i need and would my transfer case and drive lines all work

Yes your transfer case will work but your drive lines will need to be shortened and lengthened along with you will have to notch the frame so the starter will fit you also have to change the bell houseing

Actually you change the engine adapter plate to the second gen, it is approx 1" deeper for the additional room for LU.

Engine Adapter, Starter plus of course the trans.....
