tore the center out of my flexplate in my 89 2wd.it was the original solid one.i replaced it with a second generation flexplate.after about 100 miles the trans is leaking oil out the inspection plate at the bottom of the bell housing.real bad!i know i read about problems sometimes.what's wrong?

 

When the flexplate broke it probably allowed, or forced the converter to wobble which probably took out the pump seal and/or the pump/converter bushing. Bottom line is the trans prolly has to come out.

 

Cocked the converter wiped out the bushing and more than likely the pump. Unit has to come out.
