2nd gear issue?

when pulling out in my truck, if i dont keep my hand on the shifter it will pop outta second gear almost everytime. anyone have any clues what's wrong? i was thinkin that it could be a syncro goin out but i'm not sure.

Could be a bent shift fork.

Bent fork perhaps! More than likely a worn syncro or support bearing. Whichever it is requires a tear down to resolve.
