I have been in alaska since march. 2500 miles away from my 93 4x4. Goin home to n.Idaho on the 30th. Cant wait to get home and sit in the bad EDIT factory buckets, and here the ol cummins purr. I had no idea about this site before I came up here. Let me say I have learned alot about how my truck works. Cant wait to mess with it some. 4'' exhaust, 12cm or 14cm ex hosing and a 366 spring are goin on quick like. Thanks again for eveyone on here that has given there 2$$ or more..oh ya some extra oil in the gutbag dosent sound like a bad idea either!!!

I cant imagine being away from my truck for that long. Just a suggestion though. Do one at a time. When you do it all at once its hard to take it all in and the novelty wears off to fast. Do the spring and enjoy the smile, then when it becomes the norm do the turbo, then injectors and the like. Like I said only a suggestion, but modding and the new found feeling of power is great. I have done trucks all at once and its fun having a hot rod, but I always end up selling them for a new project. I guess I just love the journey.

One mod at a time is all it will ever see. I want to do ex housing first, so I can drill The manifold for Pyro gauge while turbo is off.

I have done a few and the vacuum and start up method always worked great for me. I did my exhaust housing not long ago and I offer you these 2 tips. Soak the manifold to housing bolts daily with penitrating lube for a couple days before you do the swap. You soo dont wanna break those bolts so take your time. Second, have some heat on hand. I tried everything to get that exhaust housing off and finally broke out the oxy/aceyl bottles and a rosebud to heat it. Popped right off with a little heat so having bottles or a friend with bottles is great.
