OIL!!!! You do know that they start out at 500 and the bigger ones weigh up to 2000lbs? Not to mention if the wires stay attached, your looking at 13.2kv minimum(high side), thats enough to instantly ignite anything flammable within 10 feet of where it lands.
Oil would be the last of my worries..., and they usually land in the same spot the top of the pole does, most of the time the tension of the wires keeps the pole and transformer relativity somewhat in the same spot.

You can see the high lines on the other side of the street. He knocked down either a communications pole/service line pole/ or stabilizer pole.

End of February last year. That is a cable or phone thing and it did hit the truck, its what crushed the bed... at least it wasn't the cab.

Yeah it was, it was only a mile or two home ... probably could have made it with no problem but didnt want to chance it.

Dangit, y'all, why would you have a thread like this? Makes me feel almost the same as seeing Salma Hayek getting shot down in Once Upon A Time In Mexico

Man that sucks, did the chains dig in during a drifting display? I still have that 5sp cab in the snow if you rebuild it sometime. I'm not sure I could even get to it right now with the snowdrifts.
