I am not sure if the rims are different, but the 4x4 dana 60 front axle has a large diameter hub, so the rims do too. I would think that they are different, but I don't know for sure...Mark

nope center hole maybe but most likely not an issue cause 4 drive are larger
its all about the stud size more than any thing some eight bolt had larger studs
9/16 vs 1/2
early trucks had coined rims but not those years
good luck

coined rims
yep and you will need to torque them up to at least 250 foot lbs each and center them using the centering procedure garots garage has it posted using standerd coned nuts x3 or else the ride back will be like cra _ you will know immediately
because coined rims are bolt centric not hub centric
all those out there with them will now sigh ............ amen
so if your rrrrrrride is poor and the tires and rims are balanced right
check that they are centered first
and oh yes if the rims are out of true its way more noticeable on coined rims than other rims tooo sigh .......

No difference between 2X4 and 4x4 wheels.
Make sure they are not trying to pass off any split-ring killer wheels on you.
The split-ring wheels bolt right on and I find many hiding on the rears where someone has damaged a standard wheel and picked up a split-ring wheel --- or four --- and bolted them on.
Sometimes, they find a really good set of tires already mounted on the split-rings, bolt them on to use up the tread, sell the truck without providing the good wheels and subsequent owners are stuck with them.

I was working in the truck and tractor department at a local tire store in high school...I watched one being aired up out of the "cage" it was supposed to be in and when it blew it went through the ceiling and roof. You could look up and see the sky through the hole. Several people were sent home for the day after it happened.
