Yeah, very utilitarian.

What purpose does the piece of 4" square-tube, with the short section of chain welded on, serve ??

The bed dumps, right ??

Thanks guys...

The bed does not dump. Its the most rotten part of the truck, but still solid metal, so I think Im gonna fix it. Then POR-15 it or something.

As far as the metal tube, couldnt tell ya. Somebody had a good idea, but i cant remember it right now.
The only reason I bought it is it was the best deal I could find on a 4x4 5 speed around. Plus its got lots of new stuff underneath it.
I like it cause its one of those trucks you see in the movies at night chasing hot girls...

Here are some old pics of my truck and my dad's truck. Mine is on the top, and my dad's is on the bottom. I'll try and get some newer/better pics up soon.

Well here is mine she's not a CTD yet anyway. But a 1984 W350 Crew Cab with a 360, NP435 4-Speed 205 T/C Dana 60's F&R with 4.11's Dual Batteries, Rear Disc. About 9" of Lift with it being 3" body Lift 6" Suspension whomever added the lift much was done by just adding leaves there are 9 in the front & 10 out back needless to say I am trying to come up with a better suspension. I have 37" SSR's on her now which do very well for a Daily Driver.
