I'm tent camping Friday and Saturday night. Plan to arrive early Friday morning.

Thursday is a jam-packed day of tours. I've already done a couple of them and the others sound really interesting but it's all new engine/electrical/tech stuff so I'm passing on that.

Looking forward to meeting you guys in person!!!

Yeah I saw the “ my truck is totaled” video on YouTube Gavin put out. I have daily driven trucks in worse shape than that for years at a time.

A cracked windshield and a few dents would not stop me from driving that truck. I would recommend he chuck a windshield in it and drive that sucker after settling up with his insurance company.

See you at the campground on Friday. You driving your dad’s old truck, or your maroon and champagne colored one?

Evidently water is flowing in the back around the cargo light. He will be racing that truck all season IIRC. Will need a windshield to pass tech.

A 1st gen that leaks some water in the cab is not that unusual…haha

I am just saying my winter beater with a heater that I have been driving for 3 years is in worse shape that that. Cracked windshield and all. It also leaks around the rear slider window.

I am just saying is that I would not call his W250 totaled, More like a well loved work truck.

I doubt I'll get dad's '93 road ready in time? Still need to drain & refill the rear end and then put some miles on it to make sure there aren't any issues from sitting for so many years. Plus I'd rather tab that dowel pin before fate intervenes.

So, I'll probably be in my maroon & champagne "farm truck".

No idea. Haven't worked since December due to wrist/hand surgery. It was work comp. I got cleared to go back to work with that. While I was out I broke my foot. 5/26 I will be cleared to go back to work under FMLA. I have no idea how my "bonus time" accrues. 5/29 is my 6th anniversary with them. Eligible for 3 weeks(?) I have no idea. I have to use my time to do things before the insane heat and humidity start. Going to start doing the rear brakes on the truck up in Nashville today. Hopefully drive it home tomorrow.

My truck is down. Went to do rear brakes. I have put 47K on this truck since I bought it. Passenger side had the bearing torqued too tight. It damaged the outer bearing. Brake pad cracked due to heat. Driver side had the inner seal leaking. Turned the pads into mush. All the parts will be here by tomorrow. Rain is predicted for the next 10 days. I guess our drought is going to be over. Of course we are working outside.Truck is 50mi away in Nashville. Did I mention I need to build a shop? Bearings will be here tomorrow. I bought a Mag-Hytec diff cover. Ordered Hotshot Secret 85-140 Severe Duty oil. Ordered 1 gal. Enough for the stock cover. Not for the Hytec. It takes 6 or 6.5qts. I ordered the second one on Tuesday. It hasn't shipped yet. Might top it off with regular gear oil and the factory cover.

Not sure about the friction additive. Some people are telling me it might make the thing slip if it has too many miles on it............

Bummer, when it rains it pours. Speaking of which, we FINALLY got some rain, 1.25" so far and it's still coming down!

Guess that's another nail in the coffin keeping you from attending the Homecoming huh?

I've got about 225K on my limited slip and it still performs like it should. But the last time I drained, refilled and added friction enhancer was maybe 50K or so ago? Whenever I redid my brakes and seals...

Got an email from Robert saying they were looking for anyone going who were original owners of trucks attending! That will be cool to see.

Dad's '93 would almost qualify - same family but not "purchaser". I would try and see if we still could qualify but that would mean buying 4 new tires and figuring out the brakes. And I don't have the time or money for that right now...

Curious what yourall's thoughts are on turbo & exhaust thermal covers?

1st Gen Industries will deliver to the Homecoming so that would at least save me $33.85 in shipping. I'd already gotten all the interior pieces, etc that I currently need, unfortunately...
