1st and 2nd gen axle width

What are the differences in rear axle width from a 1st gen to a second gen? I'm looking at upgrading to an 80.

curious as well, all i know is that you have to shorten the drive shaft and relocate one of the shock mounts

I have a '94 and '02 Dana 80 - both SRW... they are about 70" across the wheel mounting surfaces.
