1990 D150 Odometer Issue

I have a 1990 Dodge D150 with the 318 and the odometer isn't turning. Reading on here I took the gauge cluster apart and the gears had lost some teeth. I replaced with delrin gears and ensured they turned the odometer using a small screwdriver before putting everything back together. Odometer still isn't working. My speedometer functions and the circuitry surrounding the odometer motor wasn't blackened or showing visible signs of failure. I'm not sure where to look at this point. I thought about trying to apply voltage to the motor directly when disassembled to test it but was worried I might fry something. Any insights on what to try next?

Thanks

I think that the stepper motor only sees 5V and the speed sensor breaks the ground to trigger it.

Your speedo is functional?

I had the same issue with my odo a long time ago.
Replaced the gears and still not functioning. I didn't know what else to do, so I did nothing. Several years and several thousand miles later it started working again and been fine ever since...

My speedometer works and the odometer has never worked for me. The little gear had lost half it's teeth but I followed the sticky and replaced with new gears. Still doesn't register miles on the odometer.
