No traction down low. Awesome runs though. MPH is great! you could really get the times down with some extra grip.

Thanks Madhat.

I shifted slowly into 3rd and eased into the throttle and still spun the tires and let out some before getting back into it at about 75% throttle. The poor guy in the Dakota didnt know what happened when the ugly old truck stomped him. After the second run people in the stands kept talking about the old diesel and were fasinated with it.

Most wanted to know what turbo I was running. I just said "Mostly stock"

Hey whats up bud, I'm the guy with the big white Duramax. We've raced and talked before at HMP and you were at Mikes shop last time I went. He didnt think there was any way I'd get the old Getrag to run 12's without 700hp. Tell him I said "Told you so" and sponcor me cuz I need those slicks he has on the floor in front of the counter. hahaha

It wouldnt matter much because any speed in 3rd gear will still spin if I go past 3/4 throttle. If I get some short slicks I'll launch in 3rd gear. But if I end up with taller slicks I'll launch in 2nd.

BTW, the bed still has the 1/2" thick 2.5'x4' steel plate gooseneck back there and the reciever hitch. So that helps with traction some, but will be coming out soon. I'll be swapping to a ram charger fuel tank and mounting an optima battery under the rear passenger side of the bed.

yep still the original getrag. It shifts very fast and smooth. I run royal purple 75-90 in it and when I swapped out the stock stuff to that it really made a huge difference. Shifts alot faster and smoother.

I got the first vid loaded.

Michael is just old Fashioned... I told him a while back that I could run quicker than 13.50 on a Stock Everything other than Tuning. He said, "Not on those Tires!" So 13.4, 13.33,13.14, 13.08... Guess who bought dinner?

x2....I ran a 9.6 at 72mph...I know it takes a while to shift, but that's low 12 second mph if true. No disrespect though, always love to see the gear bangers out on the track !
