derailed, chuckle.

Also, a douple deep pan was one of the first things I did on my truck too. I traded for mine so it was free to me.

Yes Derale is correct. Sorry about the mistake but it was the computer that mispelled.

LOL.. My buddy Eric has a 93 w a p-pump, twins and a NV5600.. Hauling a load up overton grade went to pass in 6th.. sheared the teeth right off 6. He thought he broke the input. Limped it home using the 1st 5, but im sure he will never do that again..

Is there anything else i should know or do?

Thanks guys!
1. I moved OD to the shifter and I watch my gauge but usually turn it off before big/long hills.

2. Yes, for all the reasons everyone has discussed.

3. Thats the first thing and like it was said, very easy. Otherwise you're just guesssing.

4. Yes, brakes. Pulling is the easy part. Stopping is harder. You mentioned you were getting a brake controller, thats good. Without good trailer brakes you're an accident waiting to happen. I'm even considering a hydroboost unit.

You guys with the Derale coolers, do the tubes ever get filled with bugs or dirt or anything?

I heard people talking about small rocks getting in the tubes over time.

I've had my Derale pan for nearly 2 yrs and had no problems with the tubes.
Not sure how they REALLY work as my temp gauge has yet to be connected - really need to do that soon.

I've had my CoolerTubz on since S.O.P. #7 in Oct and they work good. Truck ran the same temps - oil, water, egt, and intake manifold - going home as going there. Considering I was fighting a 15mph head wind on the way home and boost was up to 7 to 9 psi instead of 3 to 5 psi I'd say they work very good.

When I got home I painted them but now I've got a couple of small scratches so I'm going to have to have them redone better.

Pulling a travel trailer really showed how good the CTD can run.
We just got us a new - to us - '89 Wilderness 33' tag. Made of real wood the thing is reasonably heavy 7850 gross. We probably had it loaded to about 6500 or 6800 lbs. The truck didn't like real long hills - guess the 6x.016's are a 'little too much' for towing.
Ran most of the way to Elkhart, In on a 3 day weekend couple of weeks ago with the TC locked and the OD on at 1680 - 1720 rpm ---67 - 70 mph, and only got 10.9 mpg. Off the interstate I turned off the OD and cruised between 1700 and 2000 rpm on a US hiway thru the countryside - up and down hills and little towns.
I knew there was weight behind me when I was starting and stopping - wish I could lock the TC in 1st and 2nd without going to a full manual shift valve body.....But once in high gear the old girl just stepped out whenever I wanted as long as I gave her time to get her second wind. Couple of times I did hit 25 psi and 1150* egt's when I got caught at a light with a hill in front of me, but most of the time she stayed under 1000*.
I've got 2 330 nozzles of washer fluid - one with an on/off solenoid and the other set with a 20 psi switch. That helped drop the egts when the boost started climbing. I could see 100 - -150* drop when they were on.
