wow - Overflow valve
i just replace my overflow valve and man did that wake my truck up
it has not ran like this in years
i would get white smoke going 75mph on the highway with very little power
now the thing pulls to 90 in a heartbeat
I just wanted to thank Infidel
for the little how to guide

You're welcome.
My bet is the overflow valve is the most common part that wears out on a 12 valve. Important part too.
Good to install a fuel pressure gauge or to regularly replace the valve.
There's a guy on ebay who sells Bosch overflow valves for $30.

Easy one wrench (19mm or 3/4") 5 minute job.
First stuff a rag under the OF valve so you don't loose the sealing washers.
Take the old one out, put the new one in.
Occasionally the old valve hits the intake. Don't bend the line to get it out.
Instead screw it back in then file or grind the notch in the intake so it comes all the way out.
Object in lower left is the oil fill

my original OF valve had a broken spring in it when I got the engine. that why my FP was under 15 at idle. this was just a stocker '95 engine. dont take the small nut off the overflowvalve thats where the spring and ball are. pull the whole thing out. there 2 copper seal rings one on each side of the line. don't loose them is what infidel is talking about with putting a rag underneath before you pull the valve.

You have the new design valve that is one piece that you can't take apart, no retainer.
Symptoms of low fuel pressure most often caused by a bad OF valve are:
Lack of power
Poor fuel mileage
Sputtering or missing at high rpms or under load
White smoke
