White smoke when my 96 starts up?HELP

When I start my 96 12 valve up it blows out white smoke then black smoke. It has just recently been doing this and only on the first start up of the day. It acts like it's clogged up or something. I have no modifications done to the truck. It's completely stock and I want to get this problem fixed if I can. Thank you.

Does anyone think that I could be getting air some how into my fuel? Do you think that I could replace my fuel lines and it would be solved?

Do you have to give it some go pedal to start?

Sure sounds to be a bit of air. Before you replace fuel lines, look for the basics. Recent fuel filter change or been adjusting something?

I just went through the same problem. It got so bad I had to use the primer button for every start. I found a rolled gasket on the fuel heater I replaced in January.
I suggest going through the entire engine side first before jumpin on the fuel lines. Start with the prefilter & fuel heater..
