Where to put senders for oil & coolant temp?
Where to put senders for oil & coolant temp?
I have a Dipricol trans temp gauge that I am going to wire with a 3-way switch so I can monitor trans temp, coolant temp, and oil temp with the flip of a switch.
The sender is 1/4". Where would be a good place to put these senders (with appropriate adapters?)
Thanks!

Sure they are 1/4", most are 1/8".
Most people use the 1/8" port on top of the oil filter housing for oil temp.
Could be wrong but on a '98 think the only place for water temp is to remove the stock sender.

Is the stock water temperature sensor very accurate?
When my radiator was gunked up, I had it get to 230º a couple times.. but it seems it gets to a certain point and just SWINGs to 230 degrees..

I know the oil psi gauge is not accurate so the same mite go for the temp dont know. I mounted my oil temp sender in the side of sump of the pan. This is were they are on the big rigs.
