I have a 95 12v with a 5 spd. latley its been acting weird it will run fine then the throttle acts up. it will not respond at all when you get on it sometimes then other times it will over rev. also it will die in gear and and only run again if you downshift and slam on the pedal. also when you come to a complete stop it will just die and you have to crank on it for awhile for it to start. if you leave it set for 10 mins or so it will start right back up. i changed the fuel filter and it still does this i have no clue what the problem is

 

Sounds like the '95 injection pump curse. The DV bores warp and cause the DVs to stick.
Sometimes adding a quart of 2 cycle oil per tank will stop it, other alternative is a rebuilt injection pump.
Are you the original owner?
My bet is it's been doing this for a long time.

 

no me and my dad are the second owners it has 225000 miles and it just started doing this recently.the kdp had been taken out by the previous owner but other than that i donnt think the pump has ever been worked on
