What are some of the downfalls to running 20* of timing
I am trying to lower egts on the truck in my sig, so im considering 20* of timing. What would be some of the downfalls to this decision keeping in mind this truck is a daily driver and will pull heavy loads around 15k on occasion. All input will be greatly appreciated.
more timing will raise cylinder pressures, so if you run high boost pressures, it will get you that much closer to poping the head gasket, also the heat transfer to the coolant is higher so overheating could be a better possibilty, but i have my engine out right now waiting on a cam, when it all goes back together im going to set around 19-20 deg, but i dont pull all the time
