What should I do with my 12 valve?
Well I posted awhile back that I'm puttin a 12 valve in my F*rd please be easy on me, :-X i know im in enemy territory
But before I put it in what should I do to it? I have heard of movein the the fuel plate? Should I start tinkerin on it or wait till I have it in and runing?

What part of SW Va are you in? I would be glad to drive up from upper east Tn and show you a few things you can do. The fuel plate move is a viable option and very easy to do. It all depends on what you plan on doing with the truck and how much power you are after.

But I started workin on this truck to pull my sawmill with it but the more and more I read the more power I need. ;D But I mean I dont want a dragster But I want to make some power and lots of black smoke! ;D Thanks again.

You got a bandsaw? I work with a guy that has a Woodmizer I believe. I have an Alaska mill for my chainsaw......Jack can we have a sawmill page? ;D <br>Please? :'(

Thanks yall its good to be here! Its a 89 4x4 250, It had the ol 7.3 in it till, well lets just say the piston and the rod wanted a divorce.
One more thing I know this aint the place to be askin this but, I tryin to find a down pipe for it, I would like to find a stock one for right now till I get the money to put a good pipe system under the truck. Thanks again yall.

Here goes the chain saw page.<br>Now if ya wanta talk noise, have I got the saw for you. It's an old early 50's model Homelite with no exhaust system. You can look right into the cylinder and see the fire when it's running. Caught the tree and my knuckles on fire the last time I used it.

Hey dieseldude, I know what your talking about dad had one kinda like it. It also lost the muffler dang that thing was mean, I think about it every time I fire up the 'ol 290 Stihl.

Hey Diesel Boy, I'm glad to see someone else cross the line. I just finished a 93 12v into my 89 F350
. Do you have all of your parts gathered? As far as the down pipe goes it all depends on the installation( f*#d tranny,dodge tranny:turbo,turbo location) You are likely going to have to make your own. To clear the a/c box i had to mount the turbo(HX35) up by flipping the exh. manifold. I only used about 20" of a late mod down pipe to squeeze between the firewall and the tranny(ZF5spd) then went to 4" all the way.

Well I have been waitin on FordCummins.com for my plate for the motor and Z-f tranny. I just got the motor kit like 3 days ago and I ordered it about 2 months ago! >
So needless to say im not a happy camper! But as far as the down pipe I didnt know that, was kinda hopeing to just rig up one for a while till I got the money to do a nice system. What all did you have to alter to make urs fit? Did you make you motor mounts or did you get the from FC.com?

I got my motor mounts and adapter from a Randy @ Reliable Diesel in Mesa,Az. My mounts are different from yours, so your turbo might fit in the down pos. The down pipe had a better shot w/ the turbo up. The stock pipe has a slight bend right after the turbo. Go as far down the pipe as you can, then cut before the next bend. I would use a porta-power to bend the firewall were it meets the floor at the upper curve on pass. side to give you enough clearance for the down pipe. The only other way is to snake around the starter and I'm sure you will see why you don't want to.<br> If you mount the turbo down you would have to take the cast elbow off and use an exhaust flange from a first gen. to the turbo. But then you still have to choices to route it(between the firewall &tranny or snake around the starter)
