what gives?

Hey guys-
The truck has started bouncing on and off over the last few months at speeds of 40MPH+ I can't really put my finger on what does it but usually if I slow down a bit it will go away.

From what I can tell it is the start of death wobble but what has me confused is most of the front end parts are new.

This problem started about 2-3 months ago but the truck has been lifted for a year and a half.

37" tires, thuren track bar, dss, "99 HD" steering, SJ drop pitman arm. There is no steering stabilizer or front sway bar.

From what I can tell it still has original unit bearings and ball joints.

The last time I set toe was 4-5 months ago and my caster setting might be a little questionable. No shops around here will touch a front end with heim joints and thats what is on the axle end of the control arms. It tracks straight other than a sloppy steering box everything else should be ok.

Any ideas? Thanks

What kind of bouncing? Is it throwing you from side to side or just hopping front to back?. It could very well be the big rubber too.

I am surprised that you run without a sway bar, how is the body roll on a sharp turn?

Its an up and down kind of a bounce. Feels like the truck is porpoising down the road. Its very random and until now the tires have always ran pretty smooth.

when was the last time you did your alignment? i know i had death wobble BAAAAAAAD when i first got my truck and i rebuilt the whole front end and i got the death wobble on the way to les schwab to get it aligned after i spent a good 4 hours replacing all that junk... very discouraging but the alignment solved it.
