What fuel press. is normal

Morning all, got bored last night and checked fuel pressure. Have a prime-loc on truck, anyway at idle 32# of pressure, and at 1800rpm 44# of pressure. Lift pump has about 7k miles on it and overflow vlv is Bosch with about 3k miles. Is this a wee much or the more the better?

the specs are 18-24 psi at idle, 28-36 at 2000 rpm with no load...

What, if any dangers, are there if fuel pressure is on the high side. The reason I ask is I have lost all my smoke!! I replaced all rubber fuel lines, star wheel forward, afc full forward and it wont even give me a burp of smoke. The truck used to do a very good smoke cloud, now it acts like a gasser.
