i know many of you have a complete aftermarket exhaust, some take out cat and muffler...

well we buy n sell dodge trucks, but take the time to take out the cat out of the stock exhaust system from most trucks.

cuz i get $100 dollars for each cat, they say they go to usa... what do they use em for? dont know.

the stuff thats in there sells for $30/kg

The precious metals in them are reclaimed and sold.

Up here, they are literally stealing them from your car as it is parked.

 

They recover platinum from the converters. There is a place 1/2 mile from my house that does it. They were robbed a little while back and had several million dallars in platinum stolen.

 

Yes, you are seeing the dirty price. If you salvaged the metals yourself, you would be a rich man my friend.

 

Except the stuff in a cat is very bad for you health. Gotta know what you're doing.

I don't know the price for the CTD converter, but core guys are paying 125ish right now for the big GM converters....... Sold a few the other day....

Check with your local scrapyards or junkyards. They will try and buy it cheap from you, the key is to try and find the core guy who buys theirs from them.
