I was inspecting my block, trying to find out if I have the dreaded 53 block. in the location where 53 would be, there is a #5 only. And above that is 200 cast into the block. what does this represent? the truck is a 12 valve 1998. any info is appreciated, thanks.

Incorrect. There are # 53 12Vs out there.
