wastegate: + or - pressure?

wastegate: + or - pressure?

hey all,
does the wastegate operate under positive or negative pressure? iow, do i use a vacume pump or pressure pump to test it?

From: outside of Duluth MN

The waste gate is under pressure. Use a REGULATED air supply to test it. Keep the pressure below about 20 PSI.
