Where do you get the waste oil, is it clean, not have other stuff in it like ATF or anti-freeze? How do you treat it? run it through a filter or process it with a still. I am getting more and more interested in trying this.

Filtering to 1 micron? That would be an expensive filtering system as that would remove any free water/glycol. The fuel system is filtered down to 5 I think, so that should be really clean.

Is that a bypass type filter? You can't possibly have a full flow filter for the engine at that rating without it being 6" in diameter. 50-80 GPM through 2 micron filtration is not easy to do..

I am going to use a centrifuge [ 1/10 micron ] , but am looking for what chemicals to use to PH balance , especially from gas engines , because of more acid build up .
So anyone know which chemicals to use ?

Cetrifuge's are Ok for the hard particles in the oil, they don't do anything for water. Also as they trap more debris, they become less effective, totally opposite to more standard filtration.

I am thinking of both , Dieselcraft brand , they have multiple models for fuel and oil , and they are all listed to what I mentioned , 1/10 micron , water removal and some other advantages .

Centrifuge by from my understanding does not separate the water, but a TP filter does.
