While driver through Nevada on Hwy 80 at a speed of 65 to 70 mph feel like the transmission kicks out of over drive (OD) and the speed drops outs and immediately come backs to normal operations. Could it be my VSS or TPS any input is appericated I am trying to make it from California to South Dakoda

i took the vss apart and the square gears or whatever you want to call them that drive it were stripped almost. the corners were shiny, so i know the metal has just recently started.

any tips on where to find a new one?

 

and i just read that link you posted i think i will also have to adjust the tps i have that clutch chatter at light load when taking off... gets irritating thanks for the help!
