My voltmeter fluctuates up and down when I rev the engine some after starting a cold engine. Does ok at idle but drops when reved a little, just wondering if the grid heaters could be coming on because of the cold temp and causing this or I have other problems. The light doesn't come though. Only does it for a minute or two after starting.

 

it's your grid heater cycling no need to worry. there is no dash light for the grid heaters, just a wait to start light

 

Its just the grid heaters, nothing to worry about, mine does the same thing in the mornings

 

Thanks hoping that was all it was but I hadn't noticed it before, probably wouldn't of noticed it now but noticed the lights diming.
