My 96 lwb, ext cab has a mild to medium vibration @2000 rpms and above. This is my 1st CTD and did'nt know if that was comon. I just drove it 200 miles today and it seemed to do it be worse when it had a load on it ( up hill, small trailer w/ 4wheeler.) I checked it in park too and it was the same vibration just not as bad. What should I look for? I've only had it for 2 weeks and have no idea when the last filter changd was.

 

check the harmonic dampner. check for torque convertor to flex plate bolts(not loose) check flex plate to crank bolts(not loose) maybe broken or cracked fan blade.......

 

Well it just came back from the local tranny shop they "put a new torque conv. and lock up circuits." I did'nt state that in the o.g. thread so I could get an un-bios opinion. I have had it back 3 days and the t.c. is slipping in 1st with a few surges at take off. I'm pretty sure this crappy reman t.c. is the culprit. I just do'nt have the $$$ for a full Goerend yet but i'm saving 4 show! My turbo also had an odd whine @ 65mph and up it's stock but I really need some boost guages. This is my 1st CTD after a bad run w/ 7.3 p.o.s. and will never go back to any thing. Thanks
