Red face very bouncy

so we recently got a foot of snow up here and i got my brand new winter tires on- lotsa traction. but anytime the tires do spin the axle(s) start bouncing uncontrolably. this will happen in 2 or 4wd. its to the point of thinking something will break. unless i wind it right out and the tires are just screaming any spinage causes this bounce. is this normal and should i b looking at trac bars or is something loose/broken?

Try replacing the shocks.

Mines the same way. I've just learned to live with it, but I'd love to get rid of it without replacing parts needlessly.

but aren't traction bars supposed to eliminate that issue? that's the whole point of them no? to stop flexing? im sure all the sled pullers don't have this issue

Traction bars will help but it shouldnt be that bad to begin with unless your shocks are wore out or springs are soft.

Mine is also the same, hasn't ever changed, from stock height to lifted, new shocks or old shocks. it's wheel hop, traction bars will help.

did you do a suspention lift to install the 35's,if you changed the leafs or changed the arc via add-a-leaf,did you change the angle of the driveshaft?if the pinion angle is too nose down you will get bad axel tramp as the springs will want to wind up beyond norm during accel.

no lift mods whatsoever anywhere, just threw 35s on the stock rims. problem is theres snow on the ground up here for half a year and spinning tires is gonna happen, even if its accidently. cant c that not doing damage to something so looks like some trac bars are in order. right after the lift.....

Yeah,I had the same trouble with an old 5spd.yj with 33's. My experiance is that once that (what is referred to as srping wrap) starts it rapidly ruins springs,Check for broken leaves,If this just started it's possible that you have a cracked leaf, those springs are prettly HD. so it's suprising to hear that this is happening to you and others since nothing was messed with,I ended up buying a single ladder bar set-up that had brackets I had to weld to the tube on the drivers side about 2" inboard from the spring perch and then I had to fab a crossmember for the foward attachment point, the unit was triangulated, upper and lower mounting at the rear and a single point at the front, sort of a shackle type mount with the shackle going up and the bushing at the top,a non moving set-up with a poly bushing in front and Heim joints at the rear with the lower rear link adjustable for some preload,This worked So great and did not limit travel or harm ride quality. Look around online there are many manuf. I even think there is a similar kit maketed by Rancho.
