Exclamation Vacuum pump leaks

I am wondering if anyone else has had a problem with getting a leaky vacuum pump repaired? It has been resealed with a sealkit from a dealer 2 times and it is still leaking? Last time they said it was also the power steering pump and they installed a new one along with a hydraulic brake pump hub. It is still leaking where the vacuum pump and the power steering pump connect. I know they next course of action is to replace the whole vacuum pump as they said it could be warped? This is really starting to Edit me off as I do not have time to deal with it myself and I think I am getting a shot gun approach from the dealer. I have to bring it back tommorrow and my Edit is still sore from last weeks encounter. Any Ideas? 96 CTD CC 2500 5 speed 4wd. THANKS!

I bought the reseal kit from fixin ram and it didn't seal. He sent me a rebuilt one and it worked fine. I am not sure why it wouldn't seal, but I wasn't going to mess around with it trying to figure it out either.

If you install the seal on a steering pump that has a grove on the drive dog it will never seal ...You need to not drive the seal all the way in the housing ...You need to have that seal ride on a clean area .
If you did install that seal and it rode on that grove ...it's trash now .
Some guys say they have installed 2 seals in the housing ...I could never get 2 in there .
Also I have proibly done over 20 pumps ... some will leak and it will take a week or so and then they just spot ...Kind-a weard I have seen it happen .
Give it a week ...unless it's gushing out , then get another seal and don't drive it in all the way .
Or I have had to replace the power steering with a really bad grove in the dog .
Hope this helps .
