Turbo rebuild
Turbo rebuild
I have a 1998, 12V, and a HX 35 turbo. When I was changing my fuel filter I took the solid steel pipe for the air intake off and noticed engine oil. I looked down in the outlet of the air cooler and noticed more oil, took off my air cleaner and checked my turbine. It feels loose, I could not measure because I do not have the right tools. I have bearings and seals coming from a place in Canada and they told me rebuilding was pretty straight forward. Has any one rebuilt one? Is it a easy job? Any pointers would be nice. Thanks Doug
Side to side play is fine as long as it doesn't rub.
Fore to aft play is bad.
You can download a complete manual here http://www.siipicossu.com/manuaaleja...2035%2040W.pdf
File is very large.
Job isn't too bad as long as you put it back together exactly like it came apart.
Best to do the entire job all at once at a time when you won't be disturbed.
