Turbo bark solutions

ok i have alot of turbo bark and i need to get rid of it cause i dont want to destroy my turbo i have a tight converter and a heavy foot can i use a bov and use drive pressure to run it? My turbo is an industrial injection phatshaft 62 65 14 which is gated? so what should i do????

by turbo bark im presuming ur referring to the back pressure on the turbo when u take ur foot off the accelerator. u cant use gasoline BOV's you need an electronically controlled BOV made for a diesel and they arent cheap

why couldnt u use one made for a gas motor and use drive pressure to control it?

Thats exactly what I'm planning on doing. I just need to get the BOV welded to the tube and drill the manifold. Hopefully have it up and running soon.

i've talked it over with lance at jgs turbo and he said with some tuning and a larger bov it should work u just have to get spring rates in the bov set up. i have an extra intake tube im gonna weld a bung in and try to see if i can make it work ill run it over at his place first to get it adjusted right. i would rather waste 250 on a good bov than spend another 1300 on a turbo lol.

I've got a 60mm JGS, so it sounds like we are both on the same track. I'm hoping I can get away with relatively low spring pressures without it leaking at all. My concern is it bleeding off the pressure fast enough to open the valve in time.

yea i know lance that owns jgs we have been over there on his dyno several times and have talked it over with him and he thinks it would work good so when i get my setup done and run it on his dyno ill let you know how it goes i actually think theres a few videos of our runs over there on photobucket?
