TS Performance Torque Converter Lock-Up

TS Performance Torque Converter Lock-Up
I have the TS Performance Torque Converter Lock-Up installed on my "96 Dodge CTD (auto) and have 2 questions I hope you can help me with. First, how can I tell if the unit is working? Second, When it is turned on, I have no power going up a grade and have to downshift. When it's turned off I have no problem with the grade. I hope you can help. Thanks
