My truck wont crank over with the key.Someone has rigged in a push button.They cut the white wire on the fuel shutoff solenoid and ran a new wire .What should I replace to get this thing fixed right.My solenoid has to be lifted also to get it in run position.It shuts off ok.thanx

 

it wont crank or it will, but not start. might have to check voltage at the solenoid to see what your gettin or not gettin. ones hold in voltage the other is pull in voltage.

 

sounds like the solenoid "pull" was down probably from a bad relay or a corroded wire. Somebody hacked something. check to see where the wire they spliced into the white wire connects.

 

I hooked the large white wire back together like it was from factory.It is one of the 3 wires in the oval plug that goes to the solenoid.I have 12 volts to the relay on the fire wall.
