HD shootout - accurate or rigged?

So is this for real or did Chevy rig the results? Dodge faired rather poorly.

do you think that a manufacture would post results of another brand kicking their butts on their own website? it was a biased test period.

Hope you guys don't mind if I jump in from across the street. I was watching this last night and wondered why Ram wasn't in most the tests. I googled and found that Ram would have been over payload on a lot of the tests so they didn't run it. If that is true, I do not know.

They should have let them run. The test was closed course anyway.

Frame twist test wasn't a capacity test - it should have run.

I also saw someone say GM and Ford use the same/similar? computer systems and it was speculated that GM saw Ford as the biggest competition threat and Ram wasn't even close.

No, I want to see them run all three like the tests said they would. Can't have a Big 3 comparison if you only run 2

Ok. Good! Well, I better stop reading the comment section though. I want to reach through the screen and strangle a brother.

I will chime in hear, I cannot be too detailed in what I know (Due to my job), but I have tested all three trucks at 30k GCVW!!!! The Chevy pulls the hardest, exhaust brake is ok at best, and has the worst ride I have ever felt, blows out front axles and has the worst interior of the 3....the Ford has a better exhaust brake then the Chev, a better interior, and the best seat among the others, but blows rear ends for breakfast and I would NEVER want to work on that 6.7 powerjoke because it is shoehorned in there...NUTZ.. Now to the Cummins...Rides the best no doubt at 30k, not as fast as the others, hands down the best interior (of test vehicles), The BEST exhaust brake by far, and alot easier to work on as EVERYONE hears knows.....I cannot give anymore details.......please dont ask

You know I'm really surprised to hear about GMs interior being the worst. In the 90s I thought GMs had that won hands down. Have Ford and Dodge just improved that much over the last 10+ years or has GM slacked?

If you havent sat in an HD Laramie 4th gen truck yet you need to carry yourself down to the dealer and do so. Youl see why. Its more than worth the trip. The Laramie (and Longhorn) is every bit as, if not nicer than the Lariat (King Ranch)

Well Dodge has come the longest way by far, Ford in my opinion has ALWAYS been the best, Chevy seems for lack of a better term...outdated....There is a reason that my current side project is puttin a 24v 5.9 into a 2006 Powerchoke for my brother!!! I mean its all personal preference when it comes down to it, interior is just my opinion.

Glad you said that. We were there yesterday just killing time, looking at the Rams and Chargers. No one wanted to get out of the AC and unlock the doors though. Since it was 2,848,399* outside I didn't ask (I was hot too). I did peek in at a Longhorn and it looked pretty sweet. Still haven't sat in it. Next time....when I take the truck in for this new L16 steering recall.

Also I was a little confused looking at the control arms under the truck. Only the lowers were tubular. The uppers remained the stamped rectangle. Why?
