Truck hesitation on a grade
Truck hesitation on a grade
When pulling into my favorite RV park after check in I have to drive up about a 6 -7 % grade for a short distance. Prblem is I am starting out from a dead stop and my Cummins tends to act like the engine is getting too much fuel, stutters. See sig for truck mods.
I have adjusted my Star wheel to increase fuelling a little but am wondering if I need to back it down some? It takes grades fine while doing highway driving but this short hill causes me some grief. My fiver is about #10,500
Any one else experience this?

I noticed that with mine after I put my tranny in, it seemed kinda doggy and smoked like, well, you know. I left the AFC housing full forward and cranked the starwheel back to about the middle and now it seems to be a lot snappier off the line and it does not smoke as much. You may want to try that and see what you think.
