transfer case seal
transfer case seal
i discovered today that my truck was dripping some fluid from what seems to be transfer case, where the yolk attaches to the front driveshaft. anyone have any advice or tips on replacing this part? how hard is it to actually replace, the part is only $13 so im hopeing it doesnt take a year and a day to replace as ive never done one before. TIA

Little harder than that, you have to remove the yoke since it is to the front driveshaft.
Still shouldn't be more than an hour.
You may want to have a speedi sleeve on hand just in case there is a groove worn on the yoke.

thanks for the input folks... the new seal is going in tomarrow. i know it sounds simple but it seems like whenever i do stuff that seems simple... its always worse than it should be... just figured i would check stuff out before i got my money maker all torn apart if you know what i mean. thanks again
