Transfer Case Question
I am replacing my auto with an NV4500. I know that I have to change a part in the T-Case due to the difference in the splines. Do I need to change the main shaft or just the input gear? I think it is just the input gear. Also is the t-case the same in a 2001 as my 1997 as long as they are both DLD's. I found a cheap input gear only and it is from a 2001. Any help would be appriciated. Pete

you should be able to just change the "input" gear on the T-case. Just make sure the way the gears are cut on the input match the gears in the planenary. you'll have to pull the case completely apart, but it's not bad.
