Trans Temp and fuel pressure

Guys

just curious,

is a trans temp gauge really nessesary on a manual tranny? I want to get a triple pod a pillar gauge holder and want the boost, pyro and trans temp?

I have also read that Fuel pressure gauges arent nessesary on a 12V? can someone please clarify this?

Tx

You really don't need either.

12 valve lift pumps don't have anywhere near the failure rate of the 24 valve ones.

There is no point in measuring the 5spd temp either......the critcal temp to measure is the temp between the meshing gears......measuring the sump temp is a very poor and inaccurate indicator of the mesh temps and will not indicate if you have reached a critical oil temp or not.
