AT trans line anti-drainback valve replacement

If anybody is interested......

The following picture is of the original flex line with anti-drain-back valve on the left and the non-valved replacement on the right. The drainback valve is the gold chromate fitting with the small arrow (indicating flow direction) at the top of the left hose. The only way to remove the anti-drainback valve is to replace the flex line. The replacement line is Weatherhead 1/2" hose with the appropriate-sized connectors crimped on.

The flex line goes between the steel pressure line and the auxillary cooler input fitting. When changing out the quick-connect lines you have to use a threaded adapter to replace the quick-connect fitting at each end of each hose you are replacing. The adapters give you the proper seat to mate to the hose ends.

There are pros and cons to taking out the drainback valve, as everybody probably has read on here. As stiff as the valve is, I figure it is an impediment to flow.
