trans computer goes bad again
trans computer goes bad again
Hey guys, I've got a 97 12V with automatic. When I got it it had been underwater and the trans and trans computer was junk. I had the trans done (twice, but that's another story) and replaced the computer with a remanufactured Mopar unit.
As of this morning the trans computer is fried. The reason I say this is it won't start in first gear and the charging system won't work. I already tried putting a NEW trans relay in to no avail. Any other ideas to try?
I can't find on on Ebay and it's out of warranty. If I remember right a couple years ago it was about $1000. The part number is 1-R5012993AB.
Thanks in advance.

UPDATE---After finding that the positive cable was loose on the driver's side battery, I tightened it and everything seems fine. By the way, 2 minutes of searching found the trans computer for $385.32. $600 worth of markup seems a little excessive, don't you think? I should have payed more attention I guess!
