What does it take to put an rh tranny out of a 95 into a 97 equipped with the re?

I think the rh is a hydraulic controlled unit and the re is a electronic controled unit.

One of our local diesel shops owner has done the 47RH in his truck , I forget , but it may ever be a 24v , he had Dave Goerend build it .
He likes it better than the RE .
You should put your location in your sig , then if I saw you were close , he may be a good source for the swap .

It should go right in. Will need to run a hot wire down to the trans and a wire to a switch for od and tc lock up. I put one in a 92 w350 and thats all I did. Works flawlessly.

OK... I have a 94 with the automatic (47rh) and I'm having some issues with the TPS... so it sounds like your idea of wiring the "hot wire" to the TC lockup and OD soeloids would bypass my problem... did you just wire up a generic switch? How does it operate... like when do you turn it off and on??? I'd love to get more info from you on this...
