Same part number DS1413. I assume you are getting free replacements?

Yep, and same for a 1500 as a 2500 or 3500, regardless of engine.

Yes I am.

This is getting irritating.

The whole stud is spinning in the joint now

I wonder how long this new one will last.

All dependshow you drive. I had the stud smash all the way through the bottom on my last one. Ive said it before, but the free replacement always seems easier. but next time, im going with an aftermarket. such an aggrivation to always be swapping this thing out.

If I may suggest, you might want to just get a Lukes Link for 60.00 and have an adjustable link that should last a long time.

Lukes Link does not work on Moog bars- the ends are the wrong size (non standard).

It's not that you have the wrong bar- there is only 1 track bar- it's that you're using a Moog. Search for threads on this and upgrade. Nothing you get from the autoparts store is going to hold up long. TRW seems to hold up longer, but you really need the 3rd gen upgrade or another upgraded style.

The fact that they are the same on a 1500 should tell us something.

I found that snowplowing really takes them out. I swear it's not how many miles, it was how many snowstorms.

I got fed up with laying under the truck and changing the lifetime warranty bars. Having the stud spinning, having to heat the stud and everything else.

I put in a thuren bar and the way that thing is built, It should be the last time I have to lay under there for that.

Yeah, but he can get a track bar from a junk yard and go from there.

It's funny, some guys blow through them in no time, others have no issues. I have never experianced the high wear rates so many complain about Factory bar lasted until around 90K (plow on the truck from day one), TRW lasted about 2 years on it's own, the a LL has lasted about 14-18 months in between needing a washer/spacer added. Just totally rebuilt the LL but the ball/socket is too far gone and I still have the wobble. Not sure which way I'm going in the near future, but another parts store bar is definitely out of the question!

I have only found 1 2nd gen ram in a junk yard near me in 8 years- and it was only 2 months ago! better off to just upgrade IMHO, or buy the cheapest new repacement trackbar you can get- I did a TRW a few years ago and LL 'd it when it went.

Really? I found them quite readily around here. When I was upgrading the seats in my 96 I went through 8 to 10 of them in one yard, looking for the best set of seats.

I'm seriously jealous! I was spoiled when we had 3 80's Chevy's- there were tons of parts trucks....

Moog makes one called the "Problem solver" that is like twice the size of the OEM and guaranteed for life. It really is an impressive looking piece!
I installed one and it has been great ever since. Most auto stores that have moog can order it but they don't have it in a their books so when you give them the PN you are kind of ordering it blindly.

Moog part number = DS1413
