The TPS sucks!
I'm going to replace it. I'm tired of screwing around with the thing. I cleaned it, rewired it, adjusted it, repositioned it, all for nothing.
It will work for 2 weeks, then screw me over like it did this weekend. Try driving 300 miles on I-95 without overdrive and not being able to make 65mpg comfortably.
The local Cummins shop doesn't have a part number for it because they say that Cummins shipped the engines to Dodge without them because they didn't know which engines would be auto or manual. However, I don't really want to pay the Dodge Dealer $250 for it.
Anyone found any other, less expensive places to get them?
I'm irritated, in case you couldn't tell.

You might want to go ahead and wire you a switch that will lock up the torque converter for future problems, it is a hassle to be away from home and the tps start acting up, that is the only reason I wired one up, is to have it there in situations as you were in. Also if you do not have a manual do a search here on adjusting the tps when you install the new one as it will have to be adjusted. Goodluck,,Rick
