TPS rod ?
TPS rod ?
My truck has started locking in and unlocking going down the road. I was going to try adjusting the TPS voltage but when I got to looking at it I noticed the bracket underneath it wasn't straight and the stud the throttle rod(?) mounts on and stop cable runs through was at an angle. Hard to explain. Looks to me like there is a groove on the shaft that goes into the TPS and the bracket is sliding down towards this groove and turning a little sideways. My question I guess is should there be a clip on the shaft in this groove holding this bracket on and could this cause a misadjustment and make the tc lock and unlock?
JGN, would like to try and help you out, but, I am having a tough time following your description. Can you take a few pics and post them here or in your profile?
