I just wanted to thank all of you on your assistance. My tranny has been doing some mad hunting the past few months. Have just been putting off buying a new tranny. Two shops have told me i need a complete rebuild. Was just about to do it also. Thanks to all of y'all, i believe i have fixed the tranny problem. Just goes to show you that tranny shops or either full of B.S. or just plain ignorent.

I guess I would too if I had a transmission shop....

My transmission is not hunting like it was.... Thanks, I hope that is all there was to the problem.

I purchased my truck used with 150k on it, and I cant see where that could be the first transmission... The previous owner put in a fuel plate (from banks ) which is all of about nothing on the power increase scale..... anyway, is there any way to tell what if anything has been done to strengthen the transmission?

Take the inspection plate off and spin the TC. An aftermarket TC will have a drain hole in it, stock does not.

Don't forget to pull the wires from the loom, and isolate them.Had a tranny put in truck, still had occasional problem and the trans shop did this on their own,so there must be something to it...problem gone.Good luck.<><
