I need help in the last few months I noticed my Egt's getting high really quick.I can be running 60mph and 6to10 pounds of boost and touch the throttle and the egt climbs really quick. I have a K&n filter and I just cleaned it .I have 4in turbo pipe and exaust pipes and 5in stacks to breath with.It is bombed just over stock (Banks stinger plus) suppose to be anyway.Could it be the wastegate? If so how do I check it or fix it ?

 

i know if the k&n filter gets over oiled it can do damage to the turbo. I make sure let mine dry in front of a fan and wipe it down inside and out to remove excess.

 

Get rid of your K&N

I did when i found pieces of the steel mesh in my turbo blades...... Could be your turbo is not spooling up, usually high egts can be associated with more fuel being delivered how is the smoke when you run? if you have lotsa smoke, your turbo is possibly out...
