Wondering if anyone could help reccomend what to set my timing to. For mods I have BD towing twins, ddp4 injectors, fass 95/180, head oringed and studs, 181 dvs(thinking of switchin to ddps) 215 IP, SB Dual Disk nv 4500, 3k GSk (Will be switching to 4K soon)

I do a decent amount of towing with the truck (10k+) Other than that the truck is used as a weekend driver as iv been using my 93 as a Daily driver. Had timing set to 16.5 last time but wondering if I should change it since my pump will be coming off my motor to paint it, and ill be resetting it anyways.

What do you recommend for a good all around timing? To go with my mods.

 

I like 18* on my truck. If you start to go higher the DDPs start spraying out of the bowl.

Probably giving up a bit of hp but 18* on my 215 pump is real nice for a DD

 

thanks for the suggestions will probably set it around 18. Higher timing gives more HP but at higher rpms and the bottom end would suffer correct?

 

Yep. Im putting mine back to 18 from 22 whenever I get around to it.
