Timing help, delivery washer??
Timing help, delivery washer??
Im about to set the timing on my 95 12v the dodgeram.org tech section said i needed a new delivery valve washer. So i take the part # to the cummins dealer she says its a bosch part. So she calls the closest diesel shop, i told her i said im setting the injection pump timing and i need a new delivery valve washer so i can re-install the delivery valve. So they say ok and send the parts to the location closest to me. Also the part # listed on dodgram.org they said was invalid. I ended up getting a little silver washer and then another silver piece that sorta looks like a cap with a hole in the middle its basicly a washer with sides that come down on outter edges. I think they sent me a shim and some other part, because I've never seen a silver brass washer. They have the part #s wrote on the tag
Part # 2410105005
Part # 2410101014
Did i get the wrong parts?
I bought the bluepoint timing kit a month ago and finally got the time to advance it now i think i wont be able to again.
Thanks,
Garrett

Yea I got the 160 pump and that brass washer shown in the picture it looks like the one i got except mine are silver i think its an aluminum shim or washer and then the other piece haven't a **** clue.. Why do you have to reinstall with stock dvs and you dont with aftermarket ones it says on that site?

Ya they don't use brass washers anymore they told me that they use the silver ones now. I can't remember exactly why but I think it was about crushing. All I got was the washer no other peice.
Ok so i did get the right washer then, i have no clue what this other piece is for its same size as the dv washer but it has sides that come down around it maybe 1/8" sorta like soda cap. Was like 3 bucks for both. Think im going to wait till next weekend, kill the kdp, install new fan clutch then do the timing be alot easier doing at once.
