Ticking during cold idle ???

Ticking during cold idle ???
Ive noticed a loud "Tick"... "Tick"... "Tick" in the mornings while I let the truck warm up.
Its repetitious and increases/decreases with rpm's.
The ticking seems to decrease/go away once the truck is warmed up.
So, I ask all of you, what could this ticking be ???

Just a thought. Sounds like one of the tappets is a little loose. When warmed up the expansion makes the ticking go away. How long since a valve adjustment?<br><br>Just my $0.00002<br><br>Stan
