Studs and Marine gasket only? Who's done it? What turbo and PSI?

I've got to replace a leaky head gasket soon. It's not leaking internally from what I can tell, just on the outside of the block at #1 and #6, but it's starting to POUR.

I'm going to install ARP 12MM studs and a .020+ Marine gasket. (No o-rings for the time being)

After this, I plan on adding New Era 370s, some 181 DVs, bumping the timing to 16° and I'm assuming I'll have EGT issues.

-Are the studs and marine gasket enough for a turbo change?

-What turbo housing should I install to help control EGT problems with the 370s and new DVs?

-What kind of pressures will the marine gasket and studs take?

I don't have the time to get the head ringed. I'll be lucky if i have time to have it checked for straightness.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Conn

i know a guy on cumminsforum that has 12mm studs, .020 over hg, and he has twins and runs sometimes up to 75psi and has been running it like that for a while now.

But, he went through the LONGEST retorquing period i have ever heard of.
He went like 2 days, 5days, 1week, 2weeks, and then a month in between retorques. All and all, he did not pull over 20lbs boost for about 2 months. The whole time he was constantly retorquing.

Talk about maximum sealing.

I have been running up to 65 with a stock gasket and studs. The head was flattened and we did 4 retorques. If you don't get it cut I think you are wasting your time. My head was .013 out of whack, as long as they are I don't think you will hardly find a flat one.

if i can find another head to have ringed and decked while i can still drive mine, then i'll probably go ahead a ring it. it's relatively cheap insurance.
